Enhancement of nature and cultural experiences at Sir Lyngbjerg Plantage
DKK 75,000 in financial support to Sir Lyngbjerg Plantage, Holstebro
Open-air theatre, footpaths and other recreational paths, vantage points and so-called geocaching are among the new activities which Sir Lyngbjerg Plantage, lying northwest of Holstebro, is looking to create in order to make the plantation more attractive to both the local population and visiting tourists.
DDH has indicated its desire to support this project and has as such donated DKK 75,000 to enhance nature and cultural experiences at Sir Lyngbjerg Plantage. The company has an equity interest of 7.5 per cent in Sir Lynge Plantage.
The plantation was founded in 1879 and has been one of the country’s most important popular gathering points, along with Ejer Bavnehøj, Skamlingsbanken and Himmelbjerget. The spiritual and political movements of the 1880s and 1890s, in particular, attracted thousands of people to the meetings held here, as a result of which the project accommodates a great deal of focus on the plantation’s cultural history.
